Book Hoarders Anonymous (5)

Can you believe that it’s almost May? Spring is in the air and I have been spending much of my free time reading by the lake near my house. Nothing is better than reading in the perfect stillness of nature. This was the month for galleys! May will be spent reviewing ALL THE ARCS, I got some great books this month and much has happened in my life so it looks like this Book Hoarders Anonymous thing might turn into a monthly feature! We shall see but for now, let’s look at my loot!

Silver by Talia Vance – I was approved for Gold via Netgalley and the series sounded too great to pass up but we obviously have to start with book one!

From Netgalley/Edelweiss:

  1. OMG Dracula audiobook!? I MUST! I’ve been meaning to read Dracula and started a long time ago but never finished. That sounds like some amazing audio!
Also YAY for Shadow and Bone!! And Dark Triumph!!!

  2. You destroyed The Book Barn! We are supposed to read Sabriel for book club this month, but I’m not sure about it. Have you read it or will this be a new read for you too?? 😛 Also…. wanting to read Shadow and Bone. I hear nonstop good stuff about it!

    • The Book Barn is THE BEST!! I have heard good things about Sabriel but this will be my first time reading it! Also I have heard such good things about Shadow and Bone that I almost bought a copy instead of waiting for the library! :]

  3. Holy out of control galleys, Batman! I’m so curious about so many of those, so I’m excited to see what you think, and wish you luck getting through them all! I am insanely jealous of your new library, I don’t have a quarter as much shelf space. AND I’m so SO excited about some of the Book Barn books you picked up. I’d love you to read Moon Called, Midwinterblood, and A Curse Dark as Gold, and I really want to read Wide Open myself.

    • I know, there are SO many..but they are actually ones that I truly want to read LOL I have them all scheduled and everything!!

I am like yearning for my library as I am in CT and it is in NY. It is literally the only room in the apartment that is mostly finished. I spent days doing it, and the dresser is still in the middle of our bedroom..so, there’s that.

I thought of you when I picked up all three of those titles, actually!! Also let me know if you wanna borrow Wide Open!

  4. Whoa! So many books, and that is totally awesome. I’ve been bringing tons of books home lately, too. I think I see Sorcery and Cecelia in your pile. That book is a ton of fun! And I love your new bookshelves! Pretty indeed 🙂

    • You know I got rid of so many books before we moved and now that I have a whole ROOM just for all of my books I think I am binge buying LOL

Have you read Patricia C. Wrede’s other novels? THEY ARE AMAZING.

  5. A) Lots of galleys, my friend! Good luck getting through them!
    B) Why you no read Shadow and Bone?! Get on this nowwww!
    C) So jealous of your signed Dark Triumph. Must get me one ASAP (road trip to one of her signings!)
    D) Awesome library! I actually am getting a little sumthin ready for you that I think will look pretty on that shelf w/out a picture. 😉

    Enjoy all your books!

    • I want to read ALL THE BOOKS right this minute, ya know? I am waiting on Shadow and Bone because I want to SAVOR it. TBH I will most likely return that copy and just buy the PB that mentions Britt in the thank yous haha

      • I heard about that! I told her I was going to buy a copy so she could sign it. Our pal Tee from YA Crush is mentioned in it too apparently!
