Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome feature over on The Broke and the Bookish, and I haven’t done one of these in a while, but when I saw the topic I had to join in! Read on to find out about my..
Bookish Bucket List!
Go on a literary pilgrimage – Be it a literary bar crawl or a trip to London to follow in Sherlock’s footsteps, I WANT TO DO THEM ALL.
Visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace, and The Globe – Some people go to beaches on their honeymoon, I am already planning my trip to England.
Write a book – I try and write every day, some random musings and some additions to the WIP I have been working on for years. I bet a lot of you have this on your list, huh? LET’S JUST DO IT, OKAY?
Have a bookish themed wedding – Don’t search for “literary wedding” on Pinterest, you guys, you will never get out of the abyss.
Meet Juliet Marillier – I would love to be able to tell her how her books got me through some of the hardest times in my life. I feel like she is my literary fairy godmother.
Visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios – I’m holding out for Diagon Alley.
Open a small bookstore OR became a professor Elizabethan literature (that’s Shakespeare) – I suppose I could do both in my lifetime, I do like to keep busy.
Some things I can cross off (or bookish things to do again):
Go to BEA & spend time with some of my best friends – BEA rocks, all bookish peeps in one place fangirling over our favorite authors. Plus, I get to spend time with some of my very best friends and that is soothing to one’s soul.
Become a superhero, I mean a librarian – Honestly, my job rocks.
Meet Neil Gaiman – I came, I saw, I cried.
Oh my goodness! I would LOVE a bookish wedding. Think of all the ideas!
Yeahhh I am working on it!! The bf of 6 years just knows that it is inevitable. I am a librarian, COME ON!
Man you have some excellent ones here!! I’ve been to the Globe and Stratford-upon-Avon (made my list actually!) and it is DEFINITELY worth planning a whole trip around. So fun!
I am so jealous that you had a chance to go to the Globe! It is really a lifetime NEED of mine!
Those are great goals – I love Visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace, and The Globe, those are on my bucket list!
I have always wanted to! I am a Shakespeare fangirl!
I had the opportunity to tell an author how her books got me through one of the most difficult periods of my life, and I’m really so grateful I was able to.
I did get to tell Neil Gaiman, which was great…but he is a new love of mine and Marillier got me through the hardest bits of my “childhood” I would probably just sob at her.
I agree, being a librarian is the best. I’m going to BEA for the first time this May, and I’m so excited, but also SOOOO overwhelmed. Any tips??
I’ve been to WWHP once, and it was AMAZING! I would love to go again.
YAY I will see you there! Quick tips: comfortable shoes, bring snacks and a cardigan and know who you wanna see prior to going! Brittany wrote a GREAT tips post that I totally agree with you might wanna check out!
I have never really wanted to get married, but if I would, I would totally have a bookish/film themed wedding… Maybe I can have a book theme for some other significant life event 😀
I never wanted to either but 6 years with my beau and the idea is growing on me 😉 you should have a bookish birthday party!! Or heck just a bookish party in general!
A book themed wedding sounds so fun! I already got married, so no bookish wedding for me, but maybe I can plan a different bookish party. That’s one of my goals.
I love how this is a Top 10 Tuesday! You may also want to link up to the original Bookish Bucket List, too!
YAY such great things you’ve already been able to do! I want to try to sneak bookish things into my wedding so you and Ame need to help me, okay!? Centerpieces? Favors?
I would love to go on a literary bar crawl. I don’t even know what that means but I want it. Books + beer = yes.
I NEED HP WORLD.
