Hello my friends!
I need some help…I am putting together a lovely United States of YA display at work (based off of this amazing map from EpicReads) and I need some titles!! We either don’t have the ones listed here or they are checked out and so on…
The states that I have NO titles available are…
Alabama
Alaska
Connecticut
Delaware
Hawaii
Idaho
Indiana
Iowa
Kentucky
Louisiana
Minnesota
Missouri
Mississippi
Nebraska
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico
N. Dakota
Oklahoma
S. Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Vermont
W. Virgina
Any help is SO appreciated, I need this to go up in the next few days so chat away! I need multiple titles for each state so duplicates are fine. THANK YOU!!
Because you asked:
Alaska – The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan & Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead
Delaware – Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry
Hawaii – The Descendants by Kaui Hart Hemming
New Jersey – Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
W. Virginia – Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
That’s all I’ve got for now! 🙂
Alabama – Looking for Alaska or Want by Stephanie Lawton
Texas – Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement Moore,
Louisiana – The Summer I Became a Nerd
Mississippi – School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins
New Jersey – How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True
Hope you have some of these! Love this project idea! 🙂
Alabama – Alabama Moon by Watt Key (more middle grade)
Iowa – Ashfall & Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin; Scowler by Daniel Kraus
Louisiana – Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys
Tennessee – If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch
Hmm, I am thinking maybe you could say The Hunger Games was set in West Virginia as that seems most likely to be the specific state that became District 12.
The Jessica Darling series is set in New Jersey.
Eleanor & Park is set in Nebraska.
It kills me that I cannot think of books set in these other states!
I think you’re done now but just in case…
Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Whitaker!
Louisiana-Where Things Come Back, Corey Whaley
Fire on the Mountain by Edward Abbey New Mexico; Looking for Alaska by John Green, Alaska;
Great minds think alike! I’m doing a US of YA booklist/display next month.
