Recommend A…Book By A Debut Author!
My choice this week is: Storybound by Marissa Burt
This is a book I originally picked up for my Debut Author Challenge and I loved it! From page two this story drew me in. Marissa Burt writes a fantastic and beautiful narrative. I highly recommend it to those who enjoyed Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu, or those looking for a story that reminds them about all of the things that they love about fairy tales.

Sounds like a great read, I love fairy tale retellings so this book sounds like it’s definitely worth checking out.
I so want to read this! I’ve become a huge fan of middle grade stories because of all the amazing ones being released this year. Can’t wait to get around to this one. 🙂
My debut pick!
I have this out from the library for the second time:( I saw Marissa Burt at a book festival here and she was lovely and her book sounded so interesting! (kind of like a children’s version of Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series? At least, that’s what I remember thinking at the time…) I’m happy anytime it is mentioned and you’ve reminded me that I MUST read it this time and not return it unread.
Marissa Burt is SO nice. Heidi didn’t love this one but for some reason it really stuck with me. It really helped me start loving MG so I can’t say enough about it!
